well, this should be fun.

general studying abroad orientation 3/26: highlights include tomm addressing the unfortunate stereotype that "americans are free", charts of the emotions encountered during culture shock, and having to look at a picture of what the brits eat for breakfast.

buenos aires studying aborad orientation 3/27: conducted entirely in spanish. understood everything, but the amount of ticket planning and travel arranging that has to be done in the next week or so is daunting.

what makes it all the more daunting: my beloved laptop, stella, has decided now would be a good time to make a trip to the mac doctor becuase of sudden case of, oh, a dead hard drive.
stressed you say? oh, no. just panicked and hyperventilating.

i could really use this holiday!

all right kids, here's the deal:

i am about to jet set.  because, as grandma haun told me, travel when you're young.  when you're old, you have to take cruises.

june-july: buenos aires-rio de janiero-buenos aires.  to actually learn to speak spanish.  then a stop in machu picchu for kicks and giggles.  because when is the next time i'll be in sudamérica? can't get to machu picchu on a cruise.

august: home.  kansas city, with road trips to the brothel in lawrence, the flint hills, and anywhere else you want to go with me.

september-december: london.  to study acting.  hopefully a saunter down to spain in the mid semester break.

december: bumming around hostels in france, spain, italy, germany, austria.  until i run out of money and have to re-earn all of the savings i've just blown.

buckle in.
